Vi är så himla glada att få presentera oss som Storms nya medarbetare!

Något helt annat än det vi drömde om när vi var små, men precis som alla drömmar och idéer formas de med tiden. Nu är vi här på Storm för att hjälpa dig att öppna upp för idéer och forma en dröm. Julia Micanovic kommer ta hand om våra lokaler och bokningar och hjälpa dig att utveckla något nytt. Emma Erlandsson ska se till att vi når ut med vilka vi är och vad vi kan göra för dig på Malmö universitet.

Nästa vecka är det äntligen dags för Skåne Innovation Week! Hela Skåne kommer att bjuda på innovationer av alla dess slag och vi på Storm och Drivhuset presenterat stolt vårt rullande schema som pågår måndag till torsdag! Se bilden för mer info om när och var evenemangen äger rum. Vi hoppas verkligen att vi ses i Storms eller Drivhusets lokaler under veckan!

It’s finally time for Skåne Innovation Week next week! Skåne is going to be filled with events about innovation so make sure to do the most of it. Learning for Sustainable Change. Malmö, April 10-11.

How can we learn collaboratively for our sustainability work? We are exploring this question with our 2-day, hands-on capacity building workshop and we would love to see you there.

We are very excited for this partnership between Malmö University and Legacy17 to deliver this 2-day capacity building workshop for sustainability practitioners, business, and civil society leaders.

This two-day workshop is addressed primarily to leaders and others seriously engaged in sustainability. The methodology, called Learning for Change, offers an effective format for planning and evaluation meetings as well as providing a basis for credible sustainability and social innovation work. Participants take home a toolkit for making the daily sustainability work more effective. It will be led by Marilyn Mehlmann (Rachel Carson award with decades of experience) and co-led by Andre Benaim.

Why should an organisation send its employees? 

We have strong reasons to believe that the skills built during the Learning for Change workshop can be easily brought back to the working environment and make your work and your team work more effective.

We spend much of our working time in meetings and doing team-work: both of them will have a productivity surge in effectiveness with a dedicated attendance to a programme like our Learning for Change event, which is one of the many reasons we are excited about offering it!

Perhaps a good reason to talk to the HR department and make the case for capacity building budget? There is a sliding scale, by which the organization saves money by sending their 2nd and 3rd employee, which we offer as a way to a) make it financially easier for organization to send more staff b) make it easier for more team members to develop skills they can later apply, and talk about, and have a shared language.

 

Meet the director of operations at Mötesplats Social Innovation: Hanna Sigsjö! Responsible for both the biggest meeting point in Scandinavia for social innovation and a book release about 100 social innovations that can change Sweden she has a big background in innovation. Vi vill ständigt låta våra användare definiera vad Storm är och hur Storm fungerar. Vi har under det senaste halvåret provat oss fram med ett bokningsformulär som man har behövt att boka Storm via. Vi tar till oss den konstruktiva kritiken vi har fått av er användare och gjort processen smidigare.

We are always striving to let our users define what Storm is and how Storms works. We have prototyped a booking form for the past six months in order to book Storm.  However, we are listening to the constructive critique received by our users and made the booking process more smooth.

Our third interview with an innovator is here, this time it is Camilla Johansson who is the test coordinator at Futurumkliniken, a testbed for the innovators in dentistry at Odontologiska Fakulteten at Mau.

For the first time ever we open up Storm for all the staff and students at Malmö University! Come and enjoy a day, or just a few hours together with some new and old faces. Whether you wan’t the competence of someone else present or just want to have a nice and creative place to work Storm is there for you!

Coworking is a style of work that involves a shared workplace and independent activity. Those coworking are usually not employed by the same organization. Coworking is a social gathering of a group of people who are still working independently, but who share values, and who are interested in the synergy that can happen from working with people who value working in the same place alongside each other. Coworking offers a solution to the problem of isolation that many freelancers experience while working at home, while at the same time letting them escape the distractions of home.

Innan julen vill vi dela med oss av lite tankar från vicerektor i innovation och samverkan Charlotte Ahlgren Moritz! Charlotte har varit en drivande kraft i att göra Storm till vad det är idag och berättar lite mer om sin roll och varför innovation och Storm behövs i samhället. Mycket nöje!
